Hen Harrier in the Avon Valley

All these photos of an adult male Hen Harrier were taken in January 2010 by Jimmy Main in the Avon Valley. While the location was a few miles outside of the CHOG recording area, the photos are of such quality they certainly warrant a page on this website.

 
Note the loose wing feather, which was also noted by observers separate from the photographer.

Note how the bird has twisted its head skywards!
