2005
REPORT: Now Available
The 2005 report is now with members. This year's publication is
again well over 80 pages, and includes a full account of the year
and a comprehensive systematic list that details all of the 219
species recorded for the period. There are also 8 plates of colour
photographs, most of which are previously unpublished; also finder's
accounts for what is potentially the first official Elegant Tern
for Britain, and Dorset's third Spotted Sandpiper. The autumn saw
a spectacular visible migration and there is a special article describing
the phenomena, during which over a quarter of a million birds were
counted. If you are not a member, it costs just £5.00 to join
and you will receive a complimentary copy of the report. Last year's
is already out of print! Click here
for details of how to join CHOG. Finally, thanks to Leo Pyke for
all her hard work in getting another excellent publication together.
