Stanpit Golf Course Footpath Update

On December 1st, Dorset County Council overruled Christchurch Borough Council's proposed closure of the footpath around Stanpit Golf Course. This is excellent news and allows birders to continue to use the route for access and viewing over Priory Marsh. Thanks go to, in particular, Peter Fenning for his tenacity in the matter, and also to Brian Smith for representing CHOG. Thanks also to those who made their own personal objections.

There will be a subsequent meeting at Christchurch, but it is now extremely unlikely that anything will change.
