A List of
National and County Rarities Recorded in Christchurch Harbour
When the county
boundaries were re-drawn in 1974, the CHOG recording area became part
of Dorset, having previously been within Hampshire. The rather bizarre
situation now exists of Hampshire having discarded all records for the
area and Dorset not taking them up. Consequently, there are a number
of "lost" records, despite them having BBRC acceptance. Most
notable is Citrine Wagtail, which is still needed for the Dorset list!
Italics relate
to records prior to 1956, when CHOG was formed
