Confirmed by the original ringer as being of the race alba or 'White Wagtail'. Our second controlled Pied Wagtail from the same site this year. Co-incidentally, another Pied Wagtail of the yarrellii race was re-trapped at nearby Abbotsbury on 12 Oct 2009 which had been originally ringed at Dundee on 29 Sept 2009 also. A significant movement therefore of wagtails from Scotland to the south coast.
