…and Shelduck, or in this case sheldrake, numbers are starting to increase – Clinton Whale
Around 3:15 this afternoon, a White-tailed Eagle, one of two which had previously been in the Avon Valley, came over Stanpit and then Mudeford Quay while continuing an easterly, coastal route. Earlier, a couple of Great Northern Diver and a Common Scoter passed west, and a Sandwich Tern was off the Beach Huts. Late in the day, when the breeze dropped away, a total of 38 Great Crested Grebe and a single Great Northern Diver could be seen settled from the quay.
