Large Skipper

  • Wingspan about 30 mm (1.2 inches)
  • Although called “large”, a small butterfly, and only slightly larger than Essex Skipper and Small Skipper
  • Distinguished from both Essex Skipper and Small Skipper by the slightly larger size, and by the chequered pattern on the upper wings
