CHOG Workshop: Warbler Identification

Beginners bird identification workshop.

Monday 1st May 2022 07:00 – 09:30am

If you are interested in birdwatching but just beginning or restarting and you want to increase your enjoyment and connection to nature, this new CHOG activity is for you!

This is an outdoor workshop to learn how to identify birds, primarily by song, and focussing on several species of warbler in Wick area.

You will learn about each of the species’ song, migration and breeding habitats. Some of the species are very skulking, such as the Cetti’s Warbler, but if we are fortunate you may catch a glimpse.

This is a workshop rather than a guided walk because it will be a small group of up to 12 people with the aim of improving skills of those attending. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and trying out your new learning. Led by Dave Taylor. Length: approximately 2.5 hours. Cost: £5.  Members only.
