CHOG welcomes young members and really wants to encourage more people under the age of twenty-five to engage with our work and activities.
Young CHOG Membership Categories
We have two free categories of membership for young people:
- Junior: ages 5-15
- Youth: ages 16-24

- Walks and other activities specially for young members and their families. More information here…
- A free digital PDF copy of the annual wildlife ‘green report’, The Birds of Christchurch Harbour, which is over 150 pages in full colour and with multiple click-throughs to additional information
- e-Newsletters published at least three times a year
- Free access to indoor meetings
- Free attendance at outdoor meetings
- Access to the members-only resource CHOG Online
- Free membership of partner organisation Dorset Bird Club (Youth only)
All under 18s require a parent/guardian’s signature to join.
If you are between 13 and 18, you might also be interested in joining the Birds of Poole Harbour Young Birders club.
